Nestle Waters North America (NWNA) is currently seeking applicant for full timeQuality Assurance Technicianto be located in ourKingfield, Mainefacility.
Shift assignment may vary but are generally 12 hours in length and consist of a rotating schedule of 3 or 4 scheduled days/week, including weekends. Night shifts run from 6pm to 6am.
This position begins at $ 17.35 ending at $18.35. There is a.50 cent increase after a 90 day review and 180 day review.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Operate , maintain and calibrate laboratory instruments as required by the ICP / calibration program
Provide training to employees including new hires and maintain training records and matrix
Perform all quality testing as outlined in QMS and ensure regulatory requirements are met
Collect, prepare, test, read, record and analyze all micro samples as required by NWNA
Perform and report all chemical testing as required by NWNA, including bromate analysis
Support with raw material /finished product holds, records, disposition and root cause analysis
Sensory coordinator and manage sensory program as required by NWNA including library maintenance
GMP monitoring and implementation
CIP program and Pest Control Program monitoring and record keeping
Internal and external auditing including implementing / monitoring corrective actions
Provide leadership for NWNA quality initiatives and both internal and external audits
Manage and maintain SOP, documentation and records in Teamroom location.
Review / monitor consumer complaints and perform complaint closure as needed
Perform and pass all NWNA proficiency tests
Monitor and maintain overall hygienic condition of facility
Provide backup / support for QA positions as needed
Maintain / create all SOPs relevant to position
FSBO and SBO program participation
Support factory Release Program
Maintain and follow up issues addressed in the Master Gap List
Conduct sampling of sources and finished product to meet requirements and analyze results
Complete projects assigned by Quality Manager
Key qualifications include:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology, Food Science /Technology or comparable Science field required.
Minimum 1 year food / beverage manufacturing experience
Knowledge of water chemistry and experience working with chemicals
Strong microbiology / science background
Auditing Skills
SPC knowledge is preferable
CIP and cleaning systems and procedures is preferable
Corrective / preventive action knowledge and understanding
Understanding of microbiological principles and test procedures is preferable
Able and willing to work 12 hour shifts including the potential for nights, weekends and holidays
Ability to move/handle 50 lbs and stand on your feet for long periods of time throughout the day
Successfully complete a post offer physical, drug screen and background check are required.
